Don’t worry it isn’t Monday just yet. I’m posting this today, because I fly off to Turkey in couple of hours, and therefore the blog will be all quiet for a week, as Murr is still sunning it up in Mexico on his honeymoon, and I won’t be back until next Monday.
Friday evening, I was mostly playing Don’t Starve and the new expansion that has recently come out ‘Reign of Giants’. With Reign of Giants comes, new seasons, new biomes including Desert and Decidious Forest, new mobs, new items, basically a whole load of new features. I didn’t really play Don’t Starve for many hours prior to the expansion, so it took a little while for me to get back in to it, and to remember the basics. Because of this I didn’t really get much time to explore the new contents, but for the meagre price of £3.50, its surely worth it for such a charming little game. If you are a fan of the game already, but don’t have the expansion, I would recommend you get it.
I also had a little blast on Titanfall as its been a while since I’ve played it. Luckily you don’t forget FPS controls, and they almost come naturally to me, so got back in to it nice and quickly. Now that the game has been out for a little while, I thought I would reflect on it a little bit. There was so much hype around this game prior to its release, and I was most definitely on the train, loving it! But I don’t find myself playing it all that much any more, I don’t know whether this is just because usually when a new multiplayer game comes along me and my friends play it to death, but as Murr switched to PS4, and not all my friends are on the new systems yet, there just aren’t many people to play with. Because it’s so much better playing with people. I also find that no one talks in game any more and because of this, there is no team work, and you lose. Which in turn makes me get bored a little quickly.
Now don’t get me wrong, I still really like it, and when I get in the zone I can’t stop playing it. But I just don’t feel like I need to play it, and that is something I used to get a lot with older COD games, where I would be thinking about playing it all day until I could play it.
I’ve found myself just playing NBA so much more at the moment, and I recently made a little highlights montage of my career for a bit of fun. Check it out!
I’ve also been getting back on DayZ recently, so expect some more content for that to come along after the holiday.
Anyway, I’d better get packing, see you in a week!
