Crytek and Deep Silver have officially announced the next game in the Homefront series Homefront: The Revolution. The game is being billed as an open world shooter, and will be coming to PC, Xbox One and PS4. NOT PS3 or Xbox 360.
The game is set four years after the events of the original, things aren’t looking very good for the resistance following the invasion of America.
“Your enemy has the advantage – superior technology, firepower, heavy armour and air support,” says the blurb. “You must learn the art of guerrilla warfare – ambush, sabotage, infiltration, deception – and fight a running battle through the war-ravaged suburbs of Philadelphia.”
Homefront boasts four-player co-op and some pretty slick looking next gen visuals. As of right now, I think Homefront: The Revolution is very promising. It’s scheduled for release in 2015. Check out the launch trailer below.
I actually really enjoyed the first Homefront, so will be keeping my eye on this one!
