Well it appears Playstation 4 is still incredibly sought after in Europe and supply isn’t matching the demand.
Sony is still struggling to manufacture enough PS4s to meet demand in Europe.
“We haven’t yet caught up with the initial demand across Europe.” SCE UK MD Fergal Gara told TrustedReviews. “We are still dealing with the day one market. We are very close to being in a full supply situation, but we are not quite there yet.
“We may have lost some sales. There is no update on PS4 sales figures right now, but suffice to say it is still selling, and selling very well.”
The situation is apparently better in the UK, where the console remains mostly available, but other key territories are still falling short.
Added Gara: “We are in a bit better shape in the UK, but there are countries that are still selling out every last unit that drops into the market on a weekly basis. A good example at the moment would be Germany who had phenomenal sales figures last week, but they just haven’t had enough stock so far.”

What an impressive predicament to be in for Sony to be in.

Impressive, or poor supply chain management? 😛
Either or, at least I’ve got my PS4 🙂
Wow, just goes to show really. There are many Xbox One’s in stock across Europe, you could walk into any store an pick one up. Heck, even CEX are selling pre-owned ones for £300 (with Kinect). Sony doesn’t seem to want a fiasco with broken machines, so making sure they are made to an excellent standard is the way forward. Watch Christmas 2014, see if supply meets demand then, especially with all the great games coming.
