Nintendo’s first direct for a long time has just finished (rather abruptly). So what goodies do we have from this..
I’d like to just mention I did try and split the trailers out seperately, but haven’t been able to do so. So the playlist of trailers is at the bottom of the page from Nintendo’s Youtube page.
Well first off, nothing to special, just Legend of Zelda Majora’s Mask 3DS… YES that’s right it’s officially happening. There’s also going to be a collectors edition for Europe featuring art book, steel case and Majora’s mask pin. The best part, it’s out in Sprin 2015.
Next up we get shown NES Remix 3DS and told it’ll be out on 7th November this year, Or if you want it now, as in RIGHT NOW, then it’ll be available on the eShop after the event.
Sonic Boom for 3DS and Wii U will be out on 21st November, there’s a demo out now for the 3DS version on the eShop.
Pokemon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire are out on 28th November along with 2 new 2DS versions bundled with the game installed on them.
Persona Q Shadow of the labyrnth is out on 3DS on November 28th too.
Onto the eShop and we’re informed that Shovel Knight 3DS will be on eShop after the direct, and that if you buy both the Wii U and 3DS versions you’ll get a 33% discount and a theme for 3DS with that version purchase.
Next up a trailer with a load of Indie games for Wii U and 3DS coming out.
Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate edition out early 2015, but Capcom and Nintendo have a special collaboration on it.
A game we’ve not seen since E3, Code Name STEAM next. Coming out in May 2015.
Onto the Wii U
We get another look at Captain Toad, and see a little snippet of every level, the launch date being brought forward to 2nd January 2015.
Everyone’s favourite pink… thing is up next in Kirby and the Rainbow Paintbrush. 4 Player mode is confirmed in the game, and it’ll arrive 2nd half of 2015.
Amiibo is discussed and how it features in the games currently out. First up in Hyrule Warriors. If you scan Link’s Amiibo, you’ll acquire a new weapon called The Spinner;

Every Amiibo is compatibile with Hyrule Warriors, they each unlock a special goody for the game, be it a weapon or ruppees.
Mario Kart 8 is discussed, again Amiibo’s feature on this game. You’ll unlock special costumes for you’re Mii racer:
There was also a great trailer revealing the levels, vehicles and racers you’ll be unlocking with the first DLC pack out soon.
An excellent trailer plays for Smash bro’s seeing Nintendo’s characters in 8 bit style, then switching to glorious visuals. A trailer demonstrating Duck Hunt Dog in Smash, And then a confirmation that Duck Hunt will be available on Wii U Virtual Console.
We’re sent over to Japan now and welcomed by Mr Miyamoto. He points out he’s wearing his Pikmin 3 t-shirt. He goes on to mention that he’s completed his Pikmin animation and that it’s available on the eShop now for £4.49.
Also we’re getting a Pikmin 3 demo on the Wii U eShop now which I thought was a little strange.
We get another glimpse at Xenoblade Chronicles X and it’s looking rather stunning it has to be said. They’re aiming to release it in 2015. I’d guess end of 2015.
Finally the finale of the show goes to Splatoon, It’s confirmed to be launching in Q2 2015 and will feature a single player campaign! Excellent news!
And with that it’s ended rather quickly by Mr Iwata.
