I say reintroduce as this game was revealed at Gamescom in August 2014 during Sony’s press conference. Given the magnitude of games that were showcased on that eventful day (28 in total) you’d be forgiven if WiLD wasn’t as fresh in your minds. It’s also been pretty quiet in terms of details.
WiLD is the creation of Wild Sheep Studios which is spear headed by Michel Ancel famous for the creation of the Rayman series and Beyond Good and Evil a game which many people are wanting a sequel to.
During the reveal in August Ancel told us that WiLD would be set in an open world which is the size of Europe and 10,000 years into the past. But one of the more interesting things he confirmed is that you can play as numerous animals that inhabit this world. “From wolves, horses, sheep and… even trout! So we decided that in WiLD every creature should be playable, even the giant and dangerous ones!” He writes on the official PlayStation blog.
Aside from those tidbits straight from the horses mouth, we actually don’t know much more than that. Why are we traveling across this massive landmass? What’s the purpose of playing as the wildlife that roam across these lands? Why the hell is there a giant lady in a tree, and a giant skeleton at the bottom of the ocean? And can I turn into that massive fish?
Hopefully these questions will be answered soon along with further details about this stunning looking game.

Certainly sounds and looks interesting. Lets see if I’ll have the money for it. It’s going to be an expensive year.
Yeah It certainly does look unique. I quite like the recent Sony announcements with new titles coming to the console like this, Rime and Tomorrow Children. Here’s hoping they all end up playing as well as they look.
