Upload Studio on the Xbox One is something that has needed some attention for a long time. For too long it has been very limited to what you can create and how you can edit your creations. But it seems that now our prayers have been answered. Yesterday Major Nelson announced on his blog that the upload studio will be receiving a major update that is rolling out already.

- Splash Screens
- Transitions
- Up to 30 minutes of video clips
- Templates
- Advanced editing tools for text overlays
- Custom transitions for games such as Halo, Sunset Overdrive & more.
- Greenscreen
- Voiceovers
- Plus a lot more.
For me this is a very welcome update, I’ve always said that the Upload Studio needs some more attention as it has the potential to become a pretty powerful editing tool. All I’d like to see now is some sort of Web based app that allows you to do this, instead of having to do it all on the Xbox One.
