A great week for gamer’s as a handful of new games released for both current generation and last generation consoles. And even Nintendo’s Wii U (remember that console?) had a game release which charted surprisingly high, especially given the title in question.
EA’s Battlefield Hardline less than surprisingly heads straight to the top of the chart with the PS4 version pipping it’s XboxOne counterpart to number 1. The last generation versions of the game debuted at number 8 and 14.
Another new entry to the chart was Final Fantasy Type 0-HD which went straight in at number 3 on PS4. With the XboxOne version just making it to the top 10.
And the shock is Nintendo’s Mario Party 10 for WiiU going straight in at number 4 this week. Good news for Nintendo, but as mentioned given the title, a little surprising.
The final new entries to the chart this week were Resident Evil Revelations 2 for PS4 and XboxOne with again the PS4 version debuting higher than the XboxOne.
Splits for Final Fantasy and Resident Evil release were:
Final Fantasy Type-0 HD
PS4 (78%)
XBO (22%)
Resident Evil Revelations 2
PS4 (52%)
XBO (23%)
PS3 (13%)
360 (11%)
So it appears that the XboxOne is keeping pace with the PS4 with regards to the FPS market, but other titles seem to be blown away in favour of the PS4.

bring on halo 5 🙂 the back bone of fps.. Wonder how many copies Sony will sell there lol
If 343 allow Halo5 to launch in any similar state to how Master Chief collection launched, wouldn’t expect it to sell much on XboxOne either.
Interesting to see GTAV on XB1 above PS4? Wonder what caused that?
The splits for Resi and FF aren’t really that surprising seeing as there are a lot more PS4’s at home.
One Wii U game in the top 40 too… Man, they’re really not selling much. I wonder what the announcement this week will be?
