The next game in the Assassins Creed saga has been officially announced over on the Ubisoft website.
Assassins Creed Syndicate set in 1868 takes you to London set during the Industrial Revolution.
You will be playing as Jacob Frye who has a twin sister called Eve (spelling?)
Jacob Frye is a much more brutal assassin than previous games as seen with him wielding a Kukri, which is basically a big ass knife. He also has brass knuckles, a revolver, throwing knives and the assassins gauntlet at his disposal. The gauntlet allows Jacob to assend buildings in a flash – think Batman and his grappling hook., it can also be used as a zip wire between buildings.
Ubisoft have promised the combat to be a lot faster paced and more fluid than ever before, again think Batman.
This will also be the first Assassin’s Creed game to feature vehicles, with trains and horse and carriages popping up during the reveal. You can control the carriages as a way of getting around quicker, you can also jump from carriage to carriage whilst performing assassinations too.
But thats not all, there will also be the inclusion of environmental hazards that you can use to your advantage. We saw during the gameplay demo Jacob dropping a set of barrels on top on an enemy buy cutting a rope that was holding them up.
London will features 7 burrows, but they didn’t specify which ones, unless I missed them say. You will be able to fight for control of these burrows by building up gang strength, taking out key people who control the burrows, and engaging in all out gang war.
You know what, just check out the below trailers and media to get more of a feel for it.
The game will be releasing this October on PS4, Xbox One and PC. No mention of any other platforms.
So far it looks pretty good, but the problem I have with the Assassin’s Creed games is that they get way too repetitive. They really need to mix up the mission types a bit, and I hope this game does that.

I’m hoping it’s a little different from previous editions, i’m also hoping that there are none of these game breaking bugs from Unity being present this time around either. Aka, we have faces to our victims.
Yea me too. I haven’t tried unity. But they really need to mix it up a bit more I think.
