WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Built using the Unreal Engine 4, ADR1FT is an immersive First Person Experience (FPX) that tells the story of an astronaut in peril. Floating silently amongst the wreckage of a destroyed space station with no memory and a severely damaged EVA suit slowly leaking oxygen, the only survivor struggles to determine the cause of the catastrophic event that took the lives of everyone on board. The player fights to stay alive by exploring the wreckage for precious resources, and overcomes the challenges of an unforgiving environment to repair the damaged EEV and safely return home.

THOUGHTS
From the moment I saw this game, which was probably around a year ago, I was interested. How could you not be? It’s looking fantastic, has lots of intrigue around it and is set in space!
I love the idea of an FPX. It’s not really something that we’ve seen a lot of, although there are more games coming along that I feel use this kind of formula. It’s a fresh take. There are no aliens to fight against, just you against the ‘elements’ and environment of space which to me, sounds great.
The game isn’t meant to be hours and hours long either, Adam Orth has said that it will be roughly 4 hours of gameplay, as long as it’s a great experience (which it looks like it will be) I’m perfectly happy with that. I do hope that it has some replay-ability though.
It also has huge potential to be a massive hit with VR gaming as it is being designed with that in mind, and it’s exactly the type of game that should be utilising it.
There is a rough date of September release date and I for one will be keeping a close eye on this to see when we get a more concrete date.
