E3 2018 – Nintendo Direct Summary

What an exhausting weekend, plenty of very late nights (or early mornings in our case) but onto the final show of E3 2018. What a sad thing to type, E3 Conferences are finishing today 😦 Oh well, over to Nintendo.

No fancy introductions here, we go straight into a trailer with some heavy metal music playing and robots battling each other. Looks like a new game. It’s Daemon X Machinima coming in 2019.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 next up with Torna The Golden Country.

Reggie is up next discussing the intention of the Switch.

A few week’s ago they showed us Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu & Let’s Go Eevee. Reggie talks more about it. He shows the Pokeball plus. You can play the entire game with it. You can put a Pokemon into the Pokeball and take it with you. Mew comes with the Pokeball exclusively.

Next up we have Super Mario Party. You can combine 2 Switch screens together to make one map / game board. That’s pretty neat. You can also team up and battle across multiple switch screens. It’s out on October 5th.

Fire Emblem Three Houses is shown next. Coming in Spring 2019.

Fortnite is coming to Switch. It’s out today.

Overcooked 2 is revealed.

Killer Queen Black is the next game revealed. For the first time on console 2 teams of up to 4 players each can play.

Hollow Knight is also revealed. It comes with all DLC, it’s on the eShop from today.

Octopath Traveler is coming July 13th. A demo will be available on June 14th.

Next is a montage of all the upcoming games coming out over the summer from 3rd and 1st party. It’s really pretty stacked. The video went by so fast I couldn’t type all the games up fast enough and there is no video of this montage available on Youtube yet.

Next to share some information on Smash Brothers. They’re showing a video of the some of the fighters joining the game this time round. Sonic is confirmed again. Ice Climbers return. Ryu also returns as does Cloud. AND SNAKE COMES BACK!! Bayonetta is again back..Every fighter in Smash Bro’s history is back.

Nintendo went all out with Smash Bro’s In this Direct, they went through pretty much all fighters changes, assist trophies and stages. Gamecube controllers and Amiibo are compatible with the game.

We have one new challenger entering Smash Bros. It’s Ridley, Nintendo listened and brought Ridley to Smash Brothers. Smash is coming out December 7th 2018.

And that’s the Direct wrapped up. No Metroid Prime 4. Some people may be disappointed but it’s a pretty decent showcase. The game reel they played with all the upcoming games is impressive.

Here is the whole 25 minute Smash showcase.
