Hell Let Loose
First person WW2 shooter Hell Let Loose not only held a free weekend event, but they also dropped a brand new map and game mode for everyone to try out.
Omaha beach is probably the most iconic locations in from World War 2 so it’s no surprise it makes an appearance in many games centered around that conflict. Which means its no surprise to see it as the latest location for Hell Let Loose. It even has the beach landing for when players spawn early on the in round.
Black Matter Games have done an amazing job once again recreating an authentic looking map.
The latest game mode Offensive is pretty much an attack and defend affair. The allies attack from the beach. Whereas the German forces are to defend it. There are two locations to fight over which the German side need to defend for 30 minutes. Should the allies take both points the Germans are pushed back to defend two new points.
Progress with Hell Let Looses development has been great so far. The updates have been frequent enough to keep most players interested and they’ve been adding in some fantastic maps for us to play. The future is looking great for the game!

Yep, I’ve been playing Days Gone again, but i think we’ve heard a lot of that the last few weeks. This Saturday I had a day with some friends to have beer and play video games. It was great. We played the Switch all day with a combination of plenty of multiplayer games.
Overcooked 2
A game we’ve been playing when hanging out a fair amount recently. This time however we weren’t completely trollied when playing it so had a good little regime between the 3 of us once we’d got accustomed to the layouts of the kitchens each time. The levels getting progressively more and more awkward or unique with moving work tops and conveyor belts as well as segregating individual chefs to one part of the kitchen. We had a good blast on this.

Nidhogg 2
A game I had the pleasure of reviewing earlier in the year for Nintendo Switch. We didn’t play as many rounds on this as we initially thought we would. But it wasn’t because of lack of enjoyment, absolutely not, it was purely being knackered from a round. The winner of the round wouldn’t want to jump straight into another round against the person was just spectating. Some battles going on over 10 minutes with plenty of shouting, laughing and excitement.

Mario Kart 8
And it wouldn’t be a Nintendo Switch multiplayer session without Mario Kart. Jumping in at 150cc mode naturally. Cursing galore at the blue shell or a particular AI character that was doing better in races than one of us. One tournament win completed at 3star which is helpful for my completion of the game, but sadly plenty of other tournament wins only at 1 star. I’m excited but equally dreading trying to 3 star 200cc mode.
