It’s hard to believe we got our first look at the PlayStation 5 in June, at Sony’s future of gaming show. From there we figured news would continue to flow. Other than a State of Play in August featuring games, nothing more was seen of PS5. Here we are 3 months later (that have actually flown by to be honest) and it’s our next opportunity to get more information on the PS5 and hopefully its launch details for later this year. I am hype…

Showtime, YouTube & Twitch streaming figures both over 100k with 20 mins till the show starts. The music for the last hour (yep, I watched the above for an hour) is ambient and tone setting. It feels like a big night ahead.
In the final 5 minutes the music has really shifted, and absolutely built the hype.
We start bang on time at 9pm.
First thing we see is the PS5 console and a look at some of the games revealed in June in a montage.
Final Fantasy XVI
The first trailer is captured on PC emulating the PS5 experience. It’s a new game, it looks like Final Fantasy, there are chocobos… I’m sure. Yep it is Final Fantasy, but is it a numbered entrant to the series? Final Fantasy 16 is PlayStation console exclusive. Wow

Spider-Man Miles Morales
Over to Spider-Man: Miles Morales next. We get a first look at game-play of Miles Morales. The events take place one year after the last outing on PS4. Holiday 2020 still the only tease of a date we get.
Hogwarts Legacy
Warnerbros logo next, and Wizarding worlds. Is this Harry Potter? Sure is! Hogwarts Legacy, coming 2021.
Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War
Dan Vondrak, creative director from Raven is up next to discuss some of COD Black Ops Cold War. Coming holiday 2020 as expected, where’s that date then aye? PlayStation community from this Friday can play Cold War alpha for free.
Resident Evil 8
Resident Evil 8 time, this looked amazing in June, so hyped to see more of this. Coming 2021
Deathloop
Onto another game from June, Deathloop. Sadly this one isn’t really for me. But it’s another PS5 console exclusive.
Devil May Cry V Special Edition
Capcom logo is back up. Devil May Cry V Special Edition is announced. Available digitally at launch for PS5.
Oddworld: Soulstorm
Oddworld inhabitants back again. A new trailer for Soul Storm is shown. No date or additional information sadly.
Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach
A weird trailer next, someone named Gregory is in some serious trouble by the sound of it. It’s Five Nights at Freddy’s. A very short trailer for that one.
Demon Souls
PlayStation Studios logo pops up. Here we go. Japan Studio & Bluepoint games. Here’s Demon Souls.
Oh no, Fortnite had to appear didn’t it? Available at launch.
Introducing the PlayStation Plus collection now. What’s this? A new benefit for PS5. God of War, Bloodborne, Monster Hunters, Final Fantasy 15, Uncharterd 4, Ratchet & Clank, Days Gone, Until Dawn, Detroit, Battlefield 1, Infamous Second Son, Batman Arkham Knight, The Last Guardian, The Last of Us Remastered, Persona 5, Resident Evil 7, Mortal Kombat X. All available on PS5 to download from launch.
PS5 Price
The final montage now, another look at the console. Here we go then…. price? please? put us out of our misery.
