Some news from Rare straight from Phil Spencer in that they are currently under way on some titles, but not quite ready to detail them yet.
“I’m very happy to go on record to alleviate any of those concerns you might have,” Harrison said.
“We are very fortunate in having Rare and Lionhead in the UK as crown jewels of Microsoft Studios.”
Harrison said Rare was currently working on new games that would be unveiled when they’re ready.
“Rare is working on a couple of things at the moment,” he said, “which we will announce at the right time. But I’m really excited by the things they’re doing and I believe you will be as well when you hear about them.”

More kinnect titles?, or something more, after the surprise cameo of Conker at E3, It’d be pretty awesome to see him return. What do you think?

Most likely Kinect titles, that’s all Microsoft have them doing these days. It’s a dire shame, they were once one of the best game developers. More so under the wing of Nintendo, whom gave them the time needed to make great games like Banjo Kazooie, Jet Force Gemini, Perfect Dark and the legendary Goldeneye. They made some ok games on the Xbox 360 in the likes of Viva Pinata and Kameo. My opinion of PD Zero and Nuts and Bolts is as follows, shadows of the former games.
And now they are seemingly stuck making Kinect-based games, as it seemingly is painfully obvious that not a heck of a lot of other developers are interested in the Kinect. Heck, no developer (other than Sony) are using the PS Camera.
It’s a shame, Rare used to be great, but even the programmers are agreeing with the gamers. They see Rare as a shell of it’s old self and have left the company, like the gamers whom don’t buy Rare games anymore.
I really do miss Rare games on Nintendo, they just had so much charm. Kameo was fun mind you. But yeah it is a great shame to see them most likely stuck to Kinnect titles.
