After his split from Konami it was rumoured that Hideo Kojima would be starting up his own studio, well not it has officially been confirmed with the forming of Kojima Productions.
Along with the announcement of the new Studio Song Computer Entertainment CEO Andrew House announced that Sony and Hideo Kojima will be collaborating on the first new franchise making it a PS4 exclusive. You can see the announcement video below.
Obviously nothing is known about the new franchise as of right now, but I’m sure PS4 fans will be very happy with the news.
I’m not surprised by this news to be honest, it has always seemed like Sony and Kojima have had a great relationship and now that Konami are out of the picture I’m sure Sony were chomping at the bit to get involved with him.
