Whats it about?
It’s never a good idea to pack for a holiday last minute, you either end up forgetting something important or end up packing completely irrelevant things. Get Packing is a game that pits you against fellow holiday goers (players) in a rush job to pack your case with items from a list given to you dependent on your holiday destination.
How do you play?
There are 30 destination cards that display between 7 & 10 items on each card, the card is drawn face down, then flipped over to reveal the items the holiday goers need to pack.
You have to pack your case with the items required and shut the case first in order to score a point and head off on holiday. The first person to pack 3 cases from 3 different holiday destinations wins.
Sounds simple sure, but the pieces you have to pack are some very awkward shapes and you have very limited space in your case to juggle all the items. And it’s very important that the case can be clipped shut after packing to ensure you get the winning point. No overflowing or popping open cases allowed.
Bits & Pieces
The game contains enough pieces for 4 players. 4 cases that need to be packed with 52 coloured set pieces that range from swimming trunks, teddy bears & beach balls. And with the 30 destination cards, there’s a huge combination of rounds that can be played. The game also contains a cheat sheet so to speak to show you how each destinations items can be packed into the case.
Conclusion
Get Packing is a surprisingly funny frantic and fast paced party game. It’s not as simple as you’d imagine to get the cases packed with the items required from the destination card that’s been drawn. It has a pretty good replay value thanks to the 30 destination cards that come with the game. One for adults and as the age suggestion states, children from 6 years and up.
