An out of nowhere 35 minute Nintendo Direct hit us just in time for Valentines Day. Here’s a recap of what was announced.
Our first reveal is for Super Mario Maker 2 coming June 2019.
Yoshiaki Koizumi is on screen next to explain new features and elements will be added to Mario Maker 2.
Onto Nintendo Switch headlines.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order trailer and info is first up. There is a large amount of focus on Carol Danvers. AKA Captain Marvel. It’s out in Summer 2019.
Welcome back Box Boy. Box Boy is coming to Nintendo Switch for the first time. It features 2 player co-op to solve the puzzles. There are 270 stages to beat. It’s out April 26th.
Ultimate Spring update next. Ver 3.0 update due in Spring, we’ll learn what it contains later. Joker is part of challenger pack 1 DLC. New Smash Amiibo’s are out soon.
Captain Toad Treasure Tracker for Switch is getting a free update. All courses will now support 2 player. Free update out today. Paid DLC is coming. 18 new challenges including 5 new courses. Out 19th March.
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is shown next. Out in the Summer.
Dragon Quest Builders 2 is revealed next. It’s out July 12th.
Back to Koizumi, who has a new announcement for us. It’s the latest entrant to the Dragon Quest series. XI is launching exclusively for Switch.
Disney Tsum Tsum Festival is announced next. It appears to be a party / mini game featuring Disney Tsum Tsum toys. Play local multiplayer or online mini games. Coming 2019.
Starlink: Battle for Atlas getting a spring update with Falco, Slippy and Peppy joining the game. Starship races and faction battles update coming April.
Rune Factory 4 Special is being remastered for Switch. It’s out later this year. Rune Factory 5 is in development. No further information.
Oninaki is announced from the developers of I am Setsuna. Coming out in the summer.
Yoshi’s Crafted World is almost here. Quite blown away with the visuals to this game. It looks ridiculous. A demo is out later today. It’s out March 29th.
Back to Koizumi for an update on Fire Emblem 3 Houses, It’s out on 26th July.
Back to the headlines. Tetris 99 is announced. It’s a free to download game. It’s a battle royal game but Tetris. It’s out later today.
Dead by Daylight is revealed to be coming to the Nintendo Switch. Available Fall 2019.
Deltarune is revealed from the makers of Undertale. Available on 28th Feb for free. Well chapter 1 is free, the rest will come at a cost.
A demo for Daemon X Machina is out on eShop later today for a limited time. It contains prototype missions and a boss battle to try out. It’s due to launch Summer.
GRID Autosport revealed for Switch. All DLC included with 100 cars & 100 circuits. Features local split screen multiplayer and online. It’s out Summer.
Hellblade Senua’s Sacrifice is revealed next for Switch. It’s out this Spring.

Onto the last announcement of the day. It’s a new Legend of Zelda. Kind of. It’s Links Awakening but in stunning new visuals but still top down. It looks great. Due in 2019.
And that’s the end. Not a bad little direct. Some nice new announcements such as Astral Chain and Zelda Link’s Awakening. Fire Emblem is looking great and not a bad 3rd party highlight reel. Not too shabby all round really.
