It’s the 20th Anniversary of Pokemon in 2016. Can you believe that? 20 years of trying to ‘catch em all’.
There’s plenty of hype and rumours around on how Nintendo will address this milestone. Today Nintendo made one announcement that in 2016 Pokemon GO will be coming to mobile devices.
The premise of the game lets users catch and battle Pokemon in the real world using GPS. There is also a companion device to go with the game that isn’t compulsory to enjoy the game. The device or smart watch will vibrate when your approaching Pokemon in the real world. The CEO of The Pokemon Company Tsunekazu Ishihara confirmed work on Pokemon GO had been underway for 2 years with late Nintendo CEO Satura Iwata.
The game will be free to play but with various in app purchases available.
