E3 2019 – Stadia Summary

While 2 shows drop out from E3 2019 in EA & Sony, a new player to the market makes their E3 debut. Google to showcase Stadia. Awkwardly for Google, 2 hours or so before the show was due to start a colossal leak occurred with pricing, games and strategy, would it all turn out to be legit though? Here’s the summary from the first Stadia E3 show.

Stadia Connect videos will happen from time to time, akin to Nintendo Directs.

First wave of games to be confirmed, launch price and details to follow in this Connect.

Stadia will let you play on TV, Desktop, Laptop, Tablet, Pixel Smart Phones starting with 3 and 3A which was announced last month.

No Downloads, patches or installs, no console required to play.

Onto the first wave of confirmed games. Starting with first look at a title from Larian Games. It’s Balders Gate III.

Onto the numbers for Internet connections required

Mortal Kombat 11 & Assassins Creed Odyssey are discussed.

Onto the Stadia controller, which consists of a capture button and google home button. Any screen that runs chrome can run Stadia. Any controller is compatible with Stadia.

The first title available at launch revealed is Ghost Recon: Breakpoint.

Gylt is up next and looks to be a Stadia exclusive

Onto another game called Get Packed that looks like a game about repossession of items. Couch and online Co-op. 4 Player ‘carnage’. Out in 2020

Division 2 is up next.

Onto pricing and availability of Stadia next. There’s a premium subscription for $9.99 per month. Stadia Pro. 4k HRD 60fps 5.1 Surround sound on Stadia Pro.

Stadia founders edition can pre-ordered today. Contains first access to Stadia when it launches later this year. Comes with Chromecast Ultra, will also receive limited edition night blue controller and 3 months of Stadia Pro, and a buddy pass to let your friend play too. Controllers are $69.99.

Founders players will be first players to get to pick their Stadia ‘GamerTags’, Founders Players will get Destiny.

There is another package called Stadia Base, where you can simply purchase games rather than a subscription service.
